Currently, we are hiring a Software Project Lead to support our automotive client in Co. Galway

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop software project plans including resource leveling and forecasting
  • Establish milestones, anticipate issues, and monitor adherence to project scope
  • Assume day-to- day responsibility for ensuring that the project is completed on time
  • Plan and perform SW TRs as per SMART Rules.
  • Develop weekly sprint plans as per SMART process.
  • Work closely with management and team to allocate and prioritize tasks
  • Ensure correct usage of ticketing system (CoreALM) as per SMART guidelines
  • Work with project managers to agree feature development plan
  • Ensure detailed task planning and risk mitigation is provided per software sprint
  • Ensure SW development processes are followed
  • Maintain client relations, communication and status reporting (WSR & SWKPIs)
  • Reports status and progress to stakeholders weekly
  • Schedule peer reviews with wider team as required

  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
  • Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree
  • 5+ years’ Experience in SW Development/Testing
  • 2+ years’ Experience in project management
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Budget management skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262
  • Understanding of automotive software development and ADAS products and functionality
  • Knowledge of automotive SPICE process
  • Good level of C/C++ programming skills
  • Previous experience working in an automotive development environment
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practice
  • Familiarity with Source Control tools (e.g. Git)
  • Familiarity with Ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA)
  • Familiarity with CI systems (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Experience with Agile project development
