Currently we are looking for an Office Engineer to join us within the semi-conductor industry in Arizona.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support project execution by assisting with administrative tasks to help ensure smooth field operations.
- Participate in field activities, focusing on safety and quality control as needed.
- Work with the project engineer to handle office-related responsibilities, such as:
- Managing trade partners and suppliers for contract changes, including RFIs and change orders.
- Coordinating delivery schedules and tracking production progress.
- Assisting with policies and procedures.
- Help with materials management to keep the project on schedule and ensure proper sequencing.
- Oversee trade partner teams during submittals and shop drawing reviews, ensuring they meet project requirements.
- Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and product data as necessary.
- Create and manage RFIs with a focus on finding solutions to project challenges.
- Handle documentation like subcontract bonds, insurance certificates, pay applications, and change orders.
- Collect and organize data for monthly pay applications and margin analysis.
- Participate in jobsite safety activities, such as meetings and audits, to maintain a secure work environment.
- Assist with the quality control plan, including preparatory meetings, inspections, and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with the BIM and VDC teams, contributing to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings from coordinated models.
Authority:
- You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
- Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
Requirements:
- A 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture or Construction Management.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer software – Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite.
- Past internships in the construction industry are desirable
