Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in design reviews, oversee site acceptance testing, and support equipment installation to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications.
  • Lead QA validation activities, including preparation of design documents and protocol execution, ensuring equipment meets validation requirements.
  • Drive the development and implementation of a strategic asset management program to optimize equipment performance and lifecycle.
  • Implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for existing equipment and maintenance processes to enhance operational reliability.
  • Interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications to plan and execute maintenance, repairs, and process improvements.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of mechanical and electrical contractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures, policies, and regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Conduct in-depth troubleshooting for complex issues with plant equipment and associated systems, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Actively support company safety and quality initiatives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide support to manufacturing and maintenance teams as needed to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity.
  • Provide on-call support to respond promptly to critical issues as required to maintain operations.
  • Oversee and monitor central support utilities, including water systems, HVAC, compressed air, special gases, refrigeration systems, BMS/EMS, chilled water, humidifiers, and DI water systems.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations related to safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with 5–8 years of relevant experience in facility management or validation engineering.
  • Proven experience with cGMP clean utilities, HVAC systems, piping, ductwork, and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards including ISO14001 (Environmental Management), ISO50001 (Energy Management), and ISO55000 (Asset Management).
  • Familiarity with facilities equipment best practices, including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) for optimized asset performance.
  • Experience in implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively engage with all organizational levels, from project teams to site leadership.
  • Practical knowledge of the CAPA process, with the ability to identify and implement corrective actions as needed.

Authority

  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
  • You will schedule task and approve works on the various critical mechanical systems.
  • Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
