Currently, we are hiring a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to support a large-scale project with a very high-profile client in Co. Kildare

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gain understanding of facilities and utilities system from an operations and maintenance point of view.
  • Support commissioning and maintenance activities across various projects.
  • Assist in reliability studies for equipment and processes.
  • Gather and integrate data from the BMS and various other systems used on plant.
  • Professional customer engagement.
  • Interact and respond to project leads directions.
  • Ability to work to tight timelines and schedules.
  • Pro-active attitude generates continuous improvement ideas and inputs to deliverables to support the effectiveness and efficiency of the project.
  • Management and documentation of project.
  • Performs punch-listing operations. 
  • Carry out site walks and create snag lists as the project.
  • Oversees visual inspections, checks rating and material for connection.
  • Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.  

Authority:

  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
  • Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (level 7 upwards)
  • Ability to read schematic and P&ID drawings.
  • Willingness to learn while contributing to the team.
  • Strong PC skills, particularly MS office suite. (Specifically excel and word)
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Strong team working ethos.
  • Strong team player.
