Currently, we are looking for like-minded professionals to join our team and are hiring a EMC Validation Engineer to support a very high-profile automotive manufacturing client in Co. Galway

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of the EMC relevant requirements
  • Definition of the EMC test cases according to the requirements, standards, regulations and further applicable documents like Functional Safety Concept (test scope)
  • Writing and maintaining of EMC Test Plan, including review and approval of the document
  • Prepare FVS from EMC perspective
  • Generation of EMC validation cost estimation
  • Lead EMC) validation activities including equipment, planning, booking of internal and external resources
  • Review EMC Test Report
  • Based on failure analysis making proposals for design optimization
  • Perform internal communication including status and test progress, results
  • Interface to the EMC Design Team
  • Perform customer communication verbally and in written format about all relevant EMC topics including test status, results and reports
  • In case of failure during validation campaigns creation of failure tickets (artifact) and reporting to the Project team (R&D Mechatronics , Design )
  • Support product conformity according to Type Approval process
  • Support EMC Design Engineer about EMC risk analysis

Authority: 

  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
  • Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Electronics / RF Microwaves or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in EMC test laboratory or in an EMC related role preferred
  • Demonstrate a level of commitment, initiative and quality of workmanship required within an R&D environment
  • 2 years’ experience in EMC testing desirable
  • Fluent English
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Team player
