Currently, we are looking for like-minded professionals to join our team and are hiring an Electrical Equipment Commissioning Technician to support a very high-profile medical device client in Co. Galway. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret electrical/pneumatic drawings and schematics.
  • Review, test and sign off the Panel Build Assembly, Panel Wiring and Field Wiring systems
  • Ensure the build quality of each project is to the required standard.
  • Assist with the completion of key project milestones, power up, set up tasks such as I/O checks
  • Check and approve all safety circuits to ensure they comply with design and passes required safety level.
  • Test, troubleshoot, debug, and validate equipment performance, compliance to applicable
  • Complete all required documentation
  • Update and redline drawings with any changes and liaise with electrical design engineers
  • Complete assigned work within agreed timelines and quality targets
  • Contribute to the cleanliness, order, and housekeeping of the workspace


  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
  • Not allow the equipment to go back into production if it is not performing to the correct level or if there is a safety issue with the equipment.
  • Alert design team of failures in the testing process.
  • Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.


  • Level 6 FETAC Qualified Electrician
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role working on machine or equipment build
  • Strong ability to read and analysing electrical/pneumatic schematics
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective Communicator
